Morning Smoothie

Here is the recipe for our favorite morning smoothie. We love having smoothies for breakfast because they are delicious, nutritious, and super easy to make when you're on the go, or have to attend a zoom meeting (during quarantine)!

Here are the smoothie ingredients (serves 2 people):

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (almond, oat, or coconut)

  • 2 handfuls of spinach

  • 3-4 chunks of frozen mango

  • 1/3 to 1/2 frozen banana

  • 1 pitted date

  • 2 tsp almond butter

  • 2 scoops vegan protein powder (we use Garden of Life Protein Powder)

  • 5-6 ice cubes

  • sprinkle of chia seeds


  • Add liquids to blender then frozen foods ... and then blend!

  • Note: You may need to add more water or milk once blending starts!

  • Top with granola (we use KIND almond butter granola)
