Maui Travel Guide

Hawaii was a blast and a great way to end summer 2018! During our week in Maui, we explored the island and discovered many fabulous places to visit! Here are some of the places / restaurants / shops that we recommend going to if you are ever in Maui, Hawaii!!

Restaurants:

  • Kimos - great food with great ocean views! Plus, everyday they have a delicious catch of the day plate! If you're up to it you can have their famous Hula Pie! It is a huge slice of ice cream with chocolate! The first time we can to Maui we took the challenge and it was delicious!

  • Miso Phat Sushi - This restaurant is a hole in the wall but has amazing sushi and friendly waiters. The Miso Phat specialty roll was amazing! This restaurant was featured on the Food Network for its sushi. For us, it is a must stop!!

  • Auntie's Kitchen - This is a small restaurant located on Kaanapali beach. Our favorite plate is the Beyond burger. It is a vegetarian patty with a great gluten free bun and delicious sweet potato chips! (we love to add avocado to this burger too!)

  • Pacific'o - This restaurant is located right on the beach and has fabulous views of the water. We recommend dining here around sunset.

  • The Feast at Lele - There are no words to describe how much we LOVE the Feast at Lele. It is a luau in Lahaina on the beach featuring plates and dances of many Polynesian islands including Hawai'i, Aotearoa, Tahiti, and Samoa. The food is spectacular and the dances are incredible. There really is no other luau like the Feast at Lele.

  • Ululani's Hawaiian Shaved Ice - The BEST shaved ice in Maui!! The flavors are amazing (and there are so many options!) Plus, each flavor is made from natural fruits and pure cane sugar.

  • Mana Foods - this is a fabulous grocery store that has delicious food with many healthy options for all types of diets.

Shopping:

  • Maui Beach Girl - this is a small swimsuit shop in Paia. It has super cute swimsuits and it has been featured in Sports Illustrated for 10 years!

Sites to visit:

  • The Road to Hana - There are beautiful stops along this driving path with many waterfalls and beaches along the way. If you plan to do the Road to Hana, make sure to leave early in order to be able to drive back with sunlight.

  • Paia - This is the first stop on the Road to Hana. It is the last place to put gas before heading out to Hana.

  • Twin Falls - a stop on the Road to Hana.

  • Baby Beach - a beach where all the locals go to and the waves are nice and calm.

  • Lanai - whether you stay here or visit for a day, it is a beautful island for snorkeling and spending the day at the beach.

  • Molokini - this is a beautiful spot for snorkeling, where you are likely to see many beautiful fish and marine life.

We hope this guide is helpful for your next Maui trip!
